The Artist
FlorenceHansen.
In these timeless works of art, the personality of each subject has been individually captured by internationally acclaimed master sculptress, Florence Hansen.
Florence says “it is my desire that my artistic endeavours will have a lasting positive influence upon those who view them.”
Florence continued to actively sculpt into her late 90’s and today her work still brings joy to many people around the world.
The Porcelain Story
The birthplace ofwhite porcelain.
Porcelain is a type of ceramic, highly valued for it’s beauty, whiteness and strength.
It is called ‘China’ because it was first made there by craftsmen during the Tang Dynasty (618–907AD).
In the 13th Century, Marco Polo carried ‘white china’ porcelain to Europe, the products arousing great interest amongst royalty.
Today the figurines distributed by Porcelain Moments are produced in Shantou, South East China, the birthplace of fine white porcelain.
Each figurine takes about 14 days to produce.
